Petanque

Hornsey Pétanque Club emerged from a group of enthusiasts playing on a largely disused car park in Alexandra Park and Palace, from 2020.

HPC now has between 35-40 members playing three times a week on average.  Their aim is to be as inclusive as possible and already have several nationalities, and a growing number of ladies, amongst their membership.   Both HPC’s new courts  have disabled access.

They are affiliated to Petanque England, the sport’s governing body in this part of the UK.  This membership brings with it several benefits including insurance, access to competitions and coaching.

HPC was founded on an ethos of friendship and social contact for its members throughout one of the most difficult periods in UK history.   They play on Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings between 10-12 on either court. They intend to make Wednesdays a Priory Park day - and Saturday mornings are also being planned there too.

See HPC's website for site locations of the new courts, playing days and times.
